And it is time, once again, to award the prestigious TMU product of the month. For a product to even be considered for this renowned distinction, it must be of utmost quality and usefulness, but most importantly, it must be manufactured by a TMU member. Greg has long been a front runner in innovation, surpassing his peers on a daily basis. Like all other creations by Greg, the product featured this month will be talked about for years to come, and undoubtedly copy cats will flurry to mimic his greatness. Without further ado, the TMU product of the month is a fire pit. The body of the pit is a 48" steel head that is 7/8" thick. Bowls of this magnitude are primarily used for industrial purposes, but as we are all aware, TMU products are typically built to withstand the most grueling environments. The legs and skids are constructed of 2-3/8" steel drill stem that has a proven tract record of long-lasting quality. All pipe joints are saddled and welded using 6011 high strength A/C welding rods. All pipe ends are capped to seal out moisture, ensuring that these skids will be around for generations to come. The weight of this product is estimated to be in excess of 825 lbs. This pit will be used for the annual TMU banquet for warmth, roasting marshmallows, and as a conversation piece (it is sure to be the most talked about item at the party). The pit will also be utilized at TMU field days where it will be filled with tractor weights and used as a sled to test the pulling capabilities of four-wheelers. We would like to extend our congratulations to Greg for winning this award, as well as, our thanks to him for making TMU the success that it is today. We are sure that with his dedication to the sport of mudding and innovation of mudding techniques and complementary products, he will continue to be a leader in, and on, the field.
